Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Baku

Arrive at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, meet our representative, and transfer to your hotel in Baku. Check-in and relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the nearby areas or enjoy a leisurely evening walk along Baku Boulevard, watching the sunset over the Caspian Sea. Overnight in Baku.

Day 2: Baku City Tour – Old City & Modern Marvels

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your exploration of Baku’s fascinating contrasts. Visit Highland Park for panoramic views of the city, the Caspian Sea, and the iconic Flame Towers. Descend via the Baku Funicular and enter the UNESCO-listed Old City (Icherisheher). Explore the mysterious Maiden’s Tower and the magnificent Palace of the Shirvanshahs . Day 3: Absheron Peninsula – Fire Temple & Burning Mountain

After breakfast, journey through the Absheron Peninsula to discover Azerbaijan’s fiery wonders. Visit the Ateshgah Fire Temple, a unique complex where Hindu, Zoroastrian, and Sikh pilgrims once worshipped the eternal flame . Day 4: Gabala – Caucasus Mountains & Lake Nohur

After breakfast, depart for the scenic region of Gabala (approximately 3 hours drive), nestled in the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Day 5: Gobustan – Mud Volcanoes – Departure

A valid passport is required, with at least 6 months of validity remaining from your departure date. Most nationalities require an e-visa to enter Azerbaijan. Apply through the official ASAN visa website at least 3–5 days in advance. Keep a printed copy ready at immigration.

Health & Insurance

No mandatory vaccinations are required for entry. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover any unforeseen circumstances, medical emergencies, or trip interruptions. Tap water is not always safe for drinking; bottled water is recommended.

Currency & Payments

Physical Requirements

This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, including uneven terrain and steps at historical sites in the Old City and Gobustan. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.

What to Pack

Comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing (as mountain weather can be unpredictable), sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, a reusable water bottle, insect repellent, and your camera. Summers can be hot in Baku, while winters in the mountains can be chilly.

Dress Code

When visiting mosques and religious sites, modest dress is required. Shoulders and knees should be covered. Women may wish to carry a scarf. Casual attire is acceptable elsewhere.
